Sunday mornings

Today is a sunday morning.
Sundays are always the weridest days of the week because they are the one day of the week where things are usually pretty simular to how they have always been throughout my life. Today is no different. It's always the day of getting ready for the rest of the week and usually consists of work that I have left until the last minute possible and a general 'lazy' sort of feeling. They are sort of the day that isn't a real day because everything seems to stop. I would say it's the day where I can stop and recharge my batteries, only then I would be lying as it is often the most manic! But there are always certain things that remind me of sundays. I've noticed it tends to rain quite a lot on sundays, so it tends to be the 'stay indoors' day - today is no exception. Then there are the obvious things that make it sunday such as more family time and the smell of a good roast dinner whafting through the house. Also wondering around in PJs and going into the living room to see piles of washing and the ironing being done by one of my parents whilst watching football or rugby (for my dad), documentries on different things such as nature or travelling (for my mum), and the good old F1 for them both. Sundays always manage to make me feel young. This morning my mum came into my room with a bowl of porridge for me and i lay in my warm comfy bed watching OC. Is it me or do duvets and general beds get more comfortable and warm when it is wet and cold outside which makes you want to leave them less?

So despite having a ridiculous number of things to do today, which meant that I had to turn down a sunday roast at a restraunt with my family (which is not so traditional really...), I decided I would get into the world of blogging (not that I fully understand how it works!) and give it a go. To be honest, I don't think I will use blogging as a 'diary' because I can never keep diaries up, despite the good intentions. Instead I think i'll use it when I want to chatter about something significant or when nobody is about to listen to me and i have something I want to say.

I suppose we'll have to see how it goes.....

I hate Sundays, because to me they have always meant 'oh no, school tomorrow!' except nowadays it's college instead. I have come to loathe the smell of ironing for this very reason :) Keep on bloggin'! x
